20 october 2026 Sparkling Atmosphere at the Opera House with "Gypsy Princess"

A sparkling atmosphere—reminiscent of effervescent champagne in the famous Budapest variety theater where much of the action of *The Gipsy Princess* (*Die Csárdásfürstin*) takes place—filled the hall of the State Opera – Burgas last night. This wonderful production of the renowned operetta by Emmerich Kálmán, directed by Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev and conducted with spirited energy by Ivan Kozhuharov, was imbued with life-affirming messages.

Congratulations to all the inspired performers—the soloists, orchestra, chorus, and ballet!
At the conclusion of this moving performance, a traditional basket of flowers was presented on behalf of the Mayor of the Municipality of Burgas, Mr. Dimitar Nikolov.
