02 november 2026 Spirited Music on Tuesday with "Latino Pulse"

Another highlight of the rich, genre-diverse 2026/2027 Season program is the concert-spectacle "Latino Pulse." Fans of spirited southern rhythms can look forward to a blend of deep emotion, explosive energy, fiery beats, and a vibrant spectrum of feelings. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 7:00 PM at the State Opera – Burgas, under the baton of Maestro Svilen Simeonov. "Latino Pulse" is Maestro Simeonov's latest major project—an undisputed audience favorite, cherished for his engaging stage presence, total emotional commitment to creating a unique atmosphere, professionalism, and intelligent sense of humor. The Maestro is renowned for his unparalleled, natural rapport with the audience, effectively conveying the mood, messages, warmth, temperament, and sensual energy embedded in the musical scores. In recent months, his latest project, "Neapolitan Evening at the Opera," has been presented with exceptional success—including two concerts in Burgas, as well as performances on the island of St. Anastasia and in the town of Nessebar. Svilen Simeonov, who serves as the Chief Conductor of Sinfonietta Sofia and conductor of Sinfonietta Vidin, has been selected this year as a jury member for the Grammy Awards. This invitation followed a nomination and a comprehensive review of his achievements and his entire body of creative work. The concert-spectacle "Latin Pulse," under the masterful baton of Maestro Simeonov, evokes a rich tapestry of sensations through the sensual fusion of Latin music and the spirited energy of southern rhythms—skillfully interwoven with the highlights of violin solos performed by soloist Ralitsa Kondakchieva. She is exquisite, delicate, sensitive, charming, and, naturally, immensely gifted.

On November 3rd, the Burgas Opera will host a performance featuring Svilen Simeonov’s arrangements of popular and beloved Latin rhythms, adapted for a symphony orchestra, flamenco ballet, and electric violin. Latin music embodies the southern temperament, paired with a unique appreciation for beauty and the things that truly matter in life. It carries a distinct worldview and serves as an explosion of emotion. Adding a vibrant dimension to the music on stage this Tuesday will be the dynamic, original choreography by Marina Zmeeva-Markova, performed by the ballet ensemble of the State Opera – Burgas. Through the language of the body—using movement as symbols and messages—the dancers will complete the vision of the "Latin Pulse" concert program, which promises to be a veritable storm of emotions.
As always, Maestro Svilen Simeonov—who also created the arrangements and the script—will succeed in conveying the full intensity of the music to the audience, brought to life through his own conducting prowess and the masterful skill of the Burgas Opera orchestra musicians. Hristo Belchev will serve as the concertmaster of the Burgas Opera orchestra. Violinist Ralitsa Kondakicheva will perform the solo parts on both acoustic and electric violin. She is well-known to the Burgas audience, having participated in other projects with the State Opera – Burgas orchestra, also under the baton of Svilen Simeonov.
On Tuesday, the State Opera – Burgas orchestra is expected to once again achieve a thrilling range of moods under the direction of Maestro Simeonov—a conductor who consistently manages to forge a profound emotional connection with the audience—complemented by visual effects that are perfectly aligned with the artistic concept. "Latino Pulse" will feature the passionate rhythms that lie at the heart of Latin music, including Bossa Nova, Samba, Habanera, Brasileira, Rumba, Milonga, Cha-cha-cha, Jota, Farandole, Aragonaise, and Seguidilla. Inspired by the words of Jean Cocteau—"Flamenco artists do not sing or play; they spew fire and extinguish it with their feet"—violinist Ralitsa Kondachieva, along with the orchestra and ballet ensemble under the baton of Svilen Simeonov, will create a true emotional and visual feast for the senses on the Opera stage. The concert spectacle "Latino Pulse" promises a remarkable fusion of sensuality, explosive emotional dynamics, fiery rhythms, and a captivating spectrum of colors, tones, and movements—all set to the key of passion.

Tickets for "Latino Pulse" are available at the Opera box office, the "Chasovnika" (The Clock) ticket center, as well as through the Grabo and Eventim networks.
