13 february 2021 Fairy Stage Magic in "The Nutcracker"

On a cold Friday night, in the hall of the Burgas Opera, the fabulous story of "The Nutcracker", based on the immortal music of PI Tchaikovsky, came to life. The performance was planned in the program of the State Opera - Burgas in December, as a pre-Christmas gift for fans of ballet, but was postponed due to the complex and dynamic epidemic situation.
One of the most attractive ballet productions of the Burgas Opera bears the creative print and incomparable author's handwriting, characteristic of the direction and choreography of Prof. Hikmet Mehmedov / who honored with his presence the performance of his ideological and artistic child /. The enchanting scenography and costumes are by Radostin Chomakov, the tutor who unites the entire ballet troupe with professional skills and tact - Galina Kalcheva, assistant director of the remarkable ballet production, played with great success on stages throughout Bulgaria, in some better for all our times, is Peter Tiholov.
The aesthetic costumes of all participants, refined to the last detail and sustained in the unified ideological line of the production, as well as the impressive overall picture of the sets and the original layout of the stage, provided technically - through lighting and special effects.
The audience, longing for contact with living art, which is incomparable - as an emotional interaction, had fully fulfilled the allowable capacity of 30% of the hall. The tickets were sold out yesterday. This is a good sign of the thirst of connoisseurs of beauty.
On Friday night in the Opera Hall a splendor of artistry, finesse, elegant reproduction of a famous fairy-tale plot was created - a smooth overflow of the stage episodes, united by the ideological thread of the skilful direction.
Beautiful, with a tangible charge, induced by the true inspiration of the artist, were all participants in the large-scale fairytale extravaganza - from children from the Children's Ballet Theater "Kapka", led by Kapka Rogleva, to all ballet dancers from the Burgas Opera and traditionally brilliant soloists: Ivanina Ivanova - as Masha, Emil Yordanov - The Hazelnut Crusher / Prince, Yana Berduta - - debut in the role of the Black Queen, Svetlan Nikolov - Droselmeyer!
Each of the scenes from the fairytale ballet fairy tale alternated in a natural way, overflowing with the beautiful messages of Tchaikovsky's music and the magnificence of the choreography, directing and scenographic decisions. Each of the individual performances, duets, ensembles, and attractive mass scenes, combined with the skilfully woven technical effects into the overall picture, deserved spontaneous admiration from the audience, which was noticed fans of ballet art of all ages.
Magnificent, exquisite, colorful, beautiful and influential were: Adriana-Maria Manasieva and Ognyan Ivanova / in "Neapolitan Dance" /, Lora Pehlivanova, Anelia Ivanova and Toedor Tsakov / in "Indian Dance" /, Daniela Turtumanova and Daniel Tichkov Chinese Dance "/, Ivana Fialkovska, Maria Gabarova, Patricia Soares and Stefan Tipikov / in Russian Dance /, Natalie Ivanov and Iva Ovcharova / friends of Masha /, Raya Chakarova from DBT" Kapka "/ Fritz /, Dobrina Bahova / Doyka /. In the beautiful ensemble of snowflakes were: Adriana-Maria Manasieva, Polina Ivanova, Natalie Ivanova, Iva Ovcharova, Daniela Turtumanova, Patricia Soares, Ivana Fialkovska, Bianca-Helen Giovanelli, Elena Georgieva, Maria Gabarova. The enchanting "Pink Waltz" was performed by: Adriana-Maria Manasieva, Polina Ivanova, Daniela Turtumanova, Natalie Ivanova, Teodor Tsakov, Daniel Tichkov, Ognyan Ivanova and Stefan Tipikov, Ivana Fialkovska, Iva Ovcharova, Elijah Soalia, Patricia Socia Georgieva, Maria Gabarova. Parents were: Elena Georgieva, Bianca-Helen Giovanelli, Maria Gabarova, Teodor Tsakov, Daniel Tichkov, Stefan Tipikov, Ognyan Ivanov. All the creators of the fairytale extravaganza of movements, colors, music, united by the remarkable direction of Prof. Mehmedov, received well-deserved admiration and admiration.
At the end of the ballet evening, which turned into a festive one, the traditional flower basket was presented on behalf of the mayor Dimitar Nikolov. Diana Savateva, Deputy Mayor for Culture, Tourism and Sports, who is among the most zealous connoisseurs of fine art, was spotted in the audience.
