The world-famous musical MY FAIR LADY IN VARNA, staged by the Burgas State Opera, is visiting the Varna Festival and Congress Center on March 19!
‼️The main roles are played by two Varna residents - the charming soprano ILINA MIHAYLOVA Ilina Mihaylova, soloist of the State Opera Varna and the Musical Theater, and the soloist of the National Musical Theater "Stefan Makedonski" MARCHO APOSTOLOV M. Apostolov!
 After the great success of the premiere in August 2024, where the two wonderful soloists and the entire cast of the Burgas Opera enchanted those present in the full Summer Theater in Burgas, and the subsequent exciting performances with a large audience in Burgas and Ruse, in the full hall of the FCC - Varna was another stage realization of the famous Broadway musical "My Fair Lady" and on the Varna stage, where the beauty of Alexander Tekeliev's production unfolded in its full strength and brilliance to present the prelude to a better world, a little more perfect and harmonious - the kind that everyone keeps in their purest thoughts and desires...

‼️And on May 20, the large-scale attractive performance will also be presented on the stage of the National Musical Theater "Stefan Makedonski" - Sofia.

The plot of one of the most performed musicals in the world based on the play "Pygmalion" by George Bernard Shaw is not only funny but also brings the much-needed dose of romance, as well as life philosophy.
 From the first chords and the lush stage picture, immersing in the unique atmosphere of London - on the square in front of Covent Garden, from where - through a series of misunderstandings and fateful twists and turns, the love between the florist Eliza Doolittle and the professor of phonetics Henry Higgins begins.
The audience followed the exciting transformation - of attitudes, expectations, and behavior, breaking rigid frameworks and destroying social myths. Most of all, they were part of a beautiful modern fairy tale about the romantic halo of love, which is not subject to snobbish prejudices.
 The captivating plot is transferred to the Professor's house, where Eliza metamorphoses from a flower girl with a terrible dialect and manners, into a refined lady who is unconditionally accepted by high society at the ball at Buckingham Palace - after six months of training. The romantic plot ends, of course, with a happy and instructive Every link of the production, a thought embedded in the fabric of the storyline, every note, word, phrase, breath, smile and sigh, every conductor's gesture of the undisputed master behind the console - Ivan Kozhuharov, every staging, scenography, choreography and costume design concept, transformed into the feast on stage - everything is with the halo of Broadway brilliance and at the same time - theatrical depth and emotional impact!
 On March 19, on the stage of the FCC - Varna, a top-class production was once again created - scene after scene, like a Hollywood production from the "good old days" - under the all-encompassing directorial eye of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev has proven many times that he is a contemporary thinker and innovator.
Magnificent - both with a holistic perception and with every detail in its place, are: the scenography by Ivan Tokadzhiev, skillfully combined with multimedia, and the costumes - over 200 in number! - by Yana Dvoretska, the choreography - by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anna Pampulova!
 All the performers were wonderful - soloists, orchestra, choir and ballet!
It is worth seeing, feeling, experiencing, and preserving in the most precious shelves of memory this wonderful musical - as a promise that the world could sometimes be in the tonality of happiness.
